ANA Saturday Juniors - Finals Reminders
18 Jun by Willi Tigers Netball Club (Team App)
QUALIFICATION
To qualify to play in the finals, players must have played 3 games this season.
COACHES
During finals, all coaches must stay within the designated coaching area next to the score
bench. This also includes 11/U grades. There is to be no coaching from the score bench
by scorers.
UNIFORMS
Please ensure your teams are wearing the official club uniform including the appropriate
underwear. Where the Court Supervisor or umpires determine that a uniform clash exists,
the first named Team on the fixture will be required to wear a neutral and distinctive bib for
that game that does not clash.
NON PLAYERS ON COURT
During breaks in play (eg quarter and half time) only the players/coaches are permitted on
the court. There are to be no children or players in other games warming up during these
breaks.
SPECTATOR BEHAVIOUR
Please remind your spectators of their expected behaviour, including not abusing or
questioning umpire decisions. Court Supervisors will be in attendance so please address
any issues directly to them. We encourage spectators to cheer for their teams but they are
not to coach from the stands.
CENTRAL TIMING
Due to the amount of semi-finals to be played, central timing will be used for the semifinals.
However, for the grand finals individual timing will be used. In the event of a drawn
semi/grand final the following will occur:
• there will be a two (2) minute break before five (5) minutes extra each way shall be
played. A one (1) minute break will be taken at half time. Position changes are permitted. Should the result be another draw, the team to score a two (2) goal lead
shall be declared the winner.
SCORESHEETS
Please ensure a responsible adult is selected to score any finals games. Even better if you can get a scorer who doesn't have a child playing so they are not distracted.
Check players names are listed - only those eligible to play will be on the scoresheet - any names with a cross through them can't play. Must have played 3 games to play in finals.
Double check with your fellow scorer at the end of each quarter you agree with the scores on the SHEET - this will always override the electronic board. Any issues speak to the umpire or court supervisor. Best to get issues sorted at the time rather than after the game. Do not sign the scoresheet if you believe it is wrong. Get the court supervisor to sort it out.
UMPIRES
Please remember umpires are human and do make mistakes. Pressure is felt by umpires just as much as players. During the game if you believe there is an issue with umpiring, please have the team manager approach the court supervisor (purple vest) . Do NOT approach the umpire especially those under 18 (wearing green arm band). Issues are better sorted during the game than afterwards.
Any queries please contact Narelle, Tim or Prue.
